    Selma – Edith Gray Willoughby Hare, age 78, died Thursday, March 14, 2019 in WakeMed in Raleigh. Born November 4, 1940 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Paul William and Ruth Little Willoughby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Hare; brothers, Doug Willoughby and Phil Willoughby; sisters, Jean Worley, Doris Barbee, and Carolyn Hare. Edith was the oldest member of Kenly Church of God.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019 in Kenly Church of God with Rev. Sammy Eason and Rev. Brian Wimble officiating. Burial will follow in Kenly Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday just prior to the service.
    Surviving are her sons, William Hare of Selma, Jeff Hare and wife Jo Ann of Rock Ridge, and Michael Hare and wife Wendy of Black Creek; brothers, Ralph Willoughby and wife Carol, Paul Willoughby, Jr., and Chuck Willoughby, all of Kenly; sisters, Phyllis Capps and husband Earl Capps, Jr. of Smithfield, and Judy Johnson of Durham; and one grandson, Tyler Hare.
