Selma – Edna Earl Edwards Jones, age 86, passed away at Rex Hospital May 5, 2019. Born August 17, 1932 to the late Daniel Gethro and Laura Estelle Edwards in Johnston County. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by husband, William Vance “Bill” Jones; infant son, William Edward Jones; granddaughter Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Narron; Brother D.G. Edwards; A funeral service will be conducted on May 8, 2019 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 3 PM with Rev. Joseph Ballance officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow funeral services in Yelverton Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Jones is survived by daughters, Brenda and Vernon Wiggs of Butner, Linda and Freddy Narron of Middlesex; Grandchildren, Angela Narron of Middlesex, Thomas and Sylvia Wiggs of Oxford, Jeffery and Angela Wiggs of Stem, Mandy and Ben Fry of Middlesex Ashley and Adam Webster of Middlesex; Great Grandchildren Riley Fry, Nathan, Raegan, and Baileigh Wiggs; Sisters, Marry Elizabeth “Lib” Thompson of Selma, Betty and John Coward of Kenly; Brother Donnie and Carol Edwards of Brogden. She loved her family and friends dearly. Once you were in her life, you were in her heart forever. She loved being outside in her yard and never tired of working to make it more beautiful. The family thanks all the well-wishers, prayer warriors, and caregivers.
