Angier – Edward “Bo Pete” Earl Darden, age 64, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. He was born a son of the late Ralph and Eva Darden on May 19, 1956, in Wayne County. He was a member of Friendly Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Benson, he loved serving the Lord and witnessing to people. He loved his children, grandchildren, and all of his family. He enjoyed his job as a truck driver, traveling, cooking and barbecue and he was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Friendly Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Benson at 10:30 A.M. The family will receive visitors before the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. The burial will follow in the Eastern Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery in Goldsboro.
He is survived by his wife of nine years Mrs. Sue Darden, sons; Steven Buckom of Jacksonville, NC, Edwin Moody of Selma, Chad Hacker (wife Trisha) of Bay City MI, Ryan Hacker (wife Angie) of Kawkawlin, MI, daughters; Nicarra Darden Harris (husband Larry) of Garner, Shuketa Bryant of Jacksonville, NC and Khaliah Darden of Alan Town, PA, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers; Randolph Darden of Goldsboro and Ralph Darden (wife Mary) of MD, sisters; Lucille Sykes of Goldsboro, Elizabeth Jones of Atlanta, GA and Margaret Elliott of Goldsboro, special niece, Lois Darden Williams and special sister in laws.
