EDWARD GORDON AYCOCK, 81, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Smithfield Manor Nursing Home in Smithfield, North Carolina. Born in Johnston County on July 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Claude Edward and Iola Gordon Aycock. He was a 1958 graduate of Micro High School and a 1961 graduate of Campbell College. Edward worked at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia during his tour of duty with the US Army. After service he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and became the Truck Sales Manager for The Gary Fronrath Organization.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Katie Jo Aycock of Micro, NC.
A graveside service will be held at Selma Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior at Parrish Funeral Home. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held at Parrish Funeral Home.
