Selma – Edward Leon “Ed” McClannan, age 62, died Sunday, September 24, 2017. Born May 22, 1955 in Norfolk, VA he was a son of the late Robert Hurst and Byrdie Louise Smith McClannan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Ann Ellis. Ed was a member of the Joker 50 Riding Association.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Creighton Lovelace officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Surviving are his wife, Wendi McClannan; sons, Edward Lance McClannan and wife Susan of Indian Trail, NC, William Kyle McClannan and wife Tameka of Albuquerque, NM and Erik Todd Palmer of Norfolk, VA; daughter, Felicia Melanie Reyes of Selma, NC; brothers, Raymond Wayne McClannan and wife Michelle of Burkesville, KY and Steven Robert McClannan and wife Laura of Chapel Hill, NC; and three grandchildren, Christian Gabriel McClannan, Alyana Marie McClannan and Alesha Dawn McClannan.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the American Red Cross in his memory, 801 South 3rd Street, Smithfield, NC 27577.
