Kenly – Elex Eugene Hinnant, age 69, died Thursday July 11, 2019. Born July 19, 1949 in Johnston County he was a son of the late James and Katie Ingram Hinnant. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Hinnant, Jr. Mr. Hinnant enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf in his free time.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2019 in Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Betty Hinnant; son, Elex Hinnant, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Jean Barbour, all of Kenly; brother, Steven Hinnant; sisters, Kathy Hinnant and Susan Hinnant; and grandchildren, Ashley Taylor, Emily Barbour, Joshua Barbour, and Donnie “Trey” Barbour.
