Benson. NC: Mrs. Elizabeth “Carol” Keen Jones, age 74, died Sunday at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Church Cemetery, Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Betts.
Mrs. Jones was born on August 6, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Marvin Keen and Callie Mae Strickland Stanley. She was also preceded in death by husband, William Royster Jones, brother, Thomas Keen and sister, B J Woodall. Mrs. Jones retired from Fieldcrest and was a homemaker.
Surviving include daughters, Donna Rose Chavez and husband, Jorge of New Hill and Annette Jones Coates and husband, Rodney of Hampstead; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Susie Keen of Smithfield; sister and brother-in-law, LaRue and Bob Wilson of Benson; several nieces and nephews; special family friend, Glenn Parrish of Benson.
The family will receive friends 1:30 PM – 2:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
