Elizabeth Creech Brown, age 89, of Selma passed away on August 23, 2017. Born in Johnston County on May 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Milton and Ora Della Creech. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilton “Shorty” Brown. She was devoted to her family and loved to quilt, garden, fish and do jigsaw puzzles.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Creech’s Primitive Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Surviving are her children, Gail Bryant and husband Ted of Erwin, Randy Brown and wife Jackie of Raleigh, Jimmy Brown and wife Ginny of Clayton; grandchildren, Daniel Bryant (Sandra) of Concord, Adam Bryant (Brandi) of Coats, Zachary Brown (Heidi) of Carolina Beach, Lucas Brown (Hannah) of Des Moines, Iowa, Benjamin Brown of Raleigh, Claire Harrison (Lee) of Farmville, Jessica Brown of Clayton and Grace Brown of Clayton; and great grandchildren, Nathan Bryant, Hannah Bryant, Addison Bryant, Emerson Bryant, Brianna Bryant, Rowan Brown and Madison Brown; and one sister, Argie Webb of Raleigh.
