Elliott J. Sneed was born to the late Robert R.D. Sneed and the late Rena Mae Sneed on October 10, 1937 in Johnston County. God called him home to enter into a peaceful rest on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Universal Healthcare, Lillington, NC.
Elliott lived in Johnston County all of his life. While living in Johnston County, he worked at K.R. Edwards Warehouse in Smithfield, North Carolina for 10 years. Elliott J. Sneed, affectionately known as “June aka The Coon,” met no strangers and loved to dance and have fun. He was a great uncle and loved his family. In his spare time, he was a mechanic and was also well known in the community.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Sneed.
Those left to cherish his memories include: six sisters, Brenda Sneed, Yvonne Sneed, Stella Gerald (Murray), all of Benson, NC, Rena Cameron, who also served as his caretaker, of Coats, NC, Pearl Williams of Dunn, NC and Denise Surles of Kenly, NC; three brothers, Eddie Gray Sneed of Dunn, NC, Leon Sneed and Edward Sneed of Benson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews that loved him dearly and a host of great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
