    Elmer Glenn Fields
    Elmer Glenn Fields, 88, of Princeton passed away at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield on Sunday, March 10, 2019. He was born March 28, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Edward Patrick Fields and Eula Mae Edwards Fields. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in the Chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations at 7:00 pm with the Reverend Robert Bair officiating. The burial will take place in Princeton Cemetery on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 11:00 am and Military Honors will be presented.

    The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

    Mr. Fields was a member of Princeton Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a past member of the Princeton Rescue Squad. He was the Branch Manager for Neese Sausage Company. Before his employment with Neese he worked with Raleigh Linen Service and then as a salesman with Local Linen Service. He served his country in the Air Force from November 1951 until November 1955 where he served in the Korean War.

    He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Frances Hogg Fields; sons, Johnnie Fields of Wilmington, Gary Fields of LaGrange, and Jan Fields of Little River, SC; 2 grandchildren, Skyler Fields of Princeton and Logan Fields of Little River, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews.
