Elton Ray “Ralph” Peacock was born September 14, 1944 in Pikeville, North Carolina. The youngest son of Clara and Percy Peacock, he was known for his quick wit, incredible memory and master storytelling skills. After receiving his education in Johnston County, Elton spent many years in New York City before relocating to Denver, Colorado. Elton moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the 1980s where he started a successful independent car dealership. Elton passed away at Emory Decatur Hospital on June 18, 2019.
Elton is survived by his loving wife Annie of Decatur; Georgia, his son Myrick Peacock (Schquthia) of Durham North Carolina, his daughter Sharon Hinton (Jonathan) and grandson Cornelius of Cary, North Carolina, his sisters Myrtle Sanders of Smithfield, North Carolina and Carolyn Hatchett of Lacey, Washington.
