Raleigh – Estelle Batten Moye, 95, died Tuesday evening, May 15, 2018 at her home in Raleigh. Born October 4, 1922 in Johnston County, she was a Daughter of the late Fleetwood and Alice Wilson Batten. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ray Moye, brothers, Joseph Batten, Roland Batten, George Batten, and Fleetwood Batten, Jr; and sisters, Eunice Eason, Ruth Beasley, and Pauline Taylor. Estelle was a long time member of All Nation’s Fellowship Church of God of Prophecy on Western Boulevard in Raleigh.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakland Heights Cemetery.
Surviving are her daughters, Alice Moye Worley of Princeton, Annie Moye Corbett of Pine Level Lola Moye Moore of Raleigh, and Phyllis Moye Patton of Smithfield; son, Dr. Ray Moye, Jr, of Conway, SC; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
