Ethel Rogers House, age 95, died May 2, 2018, following years of declining health.
She was a member of Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. House was recognized by the North Carolina Association of Extension 4-H Agents as the 1989 Outstanding 4-H Program Assistant. The award recognized the 4-H Program Assistant whose efforts and initiatives were responsible for producing outstanding 4-H programs and expanding enrollment of membership and leaders.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph House, infant daughter Emily House, son, Bernie House, and daughter, Dolly House Fleming. She is survived by her daughter Twila Mitchell (William F. Mitchell), daughter-in-law, Brenda House, and son-in-law, Howard Fleming. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, May 5 at Parrish Funeral Home from 11:00-12-00, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 in the Crocker Cemetery near Pine Level.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
