Middlesex – Eunice Whitley Bailey, age 88, passed away Wednesday October 16, 2019 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born March 1, 1931 in Johnston County to the late John and Lizzie Parker Whitley. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by husband, Hudie B. Bailey; Sisters, Christine Johnson, Annie Edwards. A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 12 pm Friday October 18, 2019 with Rev. Bobby Richardson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Antioch Baptist Church in Middlesex. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Bailey is survived by Sons, Barney Bailey and wife Becky of Middlesex, Woody Bailey and wife Amanda of Middlesex; Grandchildren, Brian Bailey and wife Anna, Nicky Bailey Huddleston and husband Michael, Andrea Bailey and fiancé Austin Everette, Woody Jr. Bailey and wife Whitney; Great grandchildren, Aspyn Leanne Bailey, Emmalin Kate Bailey, Woody (Trip) Lane Bailey III. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Middlesex. She enjoyed watching birds and taking in the beauty of nature’s flowers and animals.
