Marguerite Susan DiGiovanni

    Marguerite DiGiovanni 101, was a mother, artist, entrepreneur, vibrant and well liked woman in her community at the Clayton Garden Senior Center and in Kenly. The Kenly News did a special birthday biography with her photo on the front page of the newspaper. She was involved with volunteering and helping to facilitate needs relief to the poor and starving people within her community and around the world. Marguerite wasn’t a member of any civic organizations, yet she was sought after by people from their groups and agencies. She is survived by three children, brothers, sister, grandchildren and people who remember her giving them furniture, clothing, food or money to them in their time of need. She will be missed by all who knew her.
    Mrs. DiGiovanni died in her home on October 13th 2019. She was the daughter of the late Anthony Mauro and Assumta Irene DiRoma and was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Rocco DiGiovanni. Marguerite played baseball during her high school years and graduated from Madison High School in Rochester, NY. She was a very skilled artist and throughout her life had several of her paintings on display in various places.
    The family will receive visitors beginning at 3:00 pm on Sunday October 20, 2019, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 pm at the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
    Surviving are her sons David DiGiovanni of Kenly and Rocco DiGiovanni of Cape Coral, FL. A daughter Mary DiGiovanni of Garner. Two brothers Anthony and Larry DiRoma of Rochester NY, sister Mary Silverheels of Winnetka CA, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
