Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Evelyn Laverne Daughtry McLamb, age 66, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at her residence. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Tueday, July 20, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. Scott Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Stones Creek Advent Christian Church Cemetery outside Benson, NC.
Mrs. McLamb was born on November 1, 1954 in Wayne County to the late Melton and Doris Langley Daughtry. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rejena Stanley and a brother, Warren Daughtry. Mrs. McLamb worked for the North Carolina Department of Human Services and was a homemaker. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, going to the coast and crocheting.
Surviving include her husband of 49 years, Levon “Lee” McLamb, son, Michael Lee McLamb and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Hayden McLamb, Carter McLamb, and Mary Michael McLamb, sister, Linda D. Weaver; many nieces and nephews and her side kick Doodle Bug.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Monday, July 19, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home.
