Smithfield, NC: Ms. Frances Baker Gooch, age 72, passed away on Tuesday July 7, 2020, at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. A Graveside Service will be held 12:00 PM – Friday, July 10, 2020 at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield, NC. Pastor Eddie White will officiate.
Ms. Gooch was born on September 11, 1947 in Johnston County to the late Elmon and Lorena Pope Baker. She was a loving, caring, and Christian lady, who loved her son and grandchildren. During her life she was known for her gift in floral design and her generosity. Ms. Gooch loved the beach, unicorns and angels. She was also a Cherokee Native American.
Surviving include her son, Henry Gooch Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Benson, sister, Sue Whitfield and husband, Bobby of Kenly, grandchildren Billy Bowen Jr, Jamey Gooch; loving ex-husband, Henry Gooch Sr. and her niece Jolene King of Princeton.
Ms. Gooch will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM on Friday, July 10, 2020 prior to the graveside service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.
In accordance with the current NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
