Franklin Odell “Buck” Jones
Franklin Odell “Buck” Jones, 81, of Selma passed away at his home on Friday, July 12, 2019. He was born November 30, 1937 to the late Lester Odell Jones and Irene Shallington Jones. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brother, Earl Jones, and sisters, Peggy Holland, Netty Allen and Lessie Johnson. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with the Reverend Jerry Barbee officiating. The committal will take place in the Crocker/Price Cemetery on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 9:00 am.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
Mr. Jones served in the US Army . He was a member of the Wilsons Mills Baptist Church and now attends Pine Level PH Church.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Creech Jones; son, Frankie Jones of Selma; daughter, Sarah Jones of Selma; stepsons, Kenneth McCullen of Raleigh, Randy McCullen and Bobby Ray McCullen both of Brogden; stepdaughter, Frances Stewart of Pine Level; 9 grandchildren, Brandon, Colton, Kiairah, Jennifer, Brandy, Tina, Christopher, Jessica and Jacob; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jaqueth, and Joyce Jones both of Selma.
