Mrs. Pearce was born on May 23, 1940 in Johnston County to the late Fred and Brookie Byrd Pope. She retired from the State of North Carolina in the administration department.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Pearce of Four Oaks; son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Glenda Pearce of Angier; granddaughter, Sydney Pearce; sister, Barbara Johnson of Dunn; several nieces and nephews.
