Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Gerard John “Gerry” O’Neill, age 66, of 501 Boyette Road, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM-Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Sam Blackman.
Mr. O’Neill was born on December 16, 1953 in Suffern, New York to the late Gerard Joseph and Roberta Marie Fowler O’Neill. He was a librarian with Wilson Community College in Wilson. His greatest pleasures in life were bluegrass music, mountain concerts and playing with his granddaughter, Addyson.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Dale Adams O’Neill; sons, Ben O’Neill and wife, Jennifer and Daniel O’Neill and wife, Lindsey; one granddaughter, Addyson O’Neill; sisters, Doreen Ferrare and Pat Rippa; brother, Tom O’Neill; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home of Ben O’Neill, 121-A Dalton Lane, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
In lieu of flowers; the family suggest memorials be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, GlenAllen, VA, 23058 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 5171 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612.
