Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Glenna Meece Howell, age 64, of 116 Austin Avenue passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Dr. Elvin Butts.
Mrs. Howell was born on June 21, 1957 in Buncombe County, North Carolina to Edith Gregg Meece of Creedmoor and the late, Arvel Meece. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Barnette and her brother, Tim Meece. Mrs. Howell retired from Wake County Public Schools as a Technology Administrator.
Surviving in addition to her mother; are her husband of 30 years, John M. Howell; sons, Chad Barnette and wife, Evan of Garner, Zack Howell and wife, Hayley of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Madison and Crosby Barnette, Spencer and Payton Howell; sisters, Kathy Lashley and husband, Thomas of Creedmoor, Barbara Eason and husband, Steve of Clayton; brother, Terry Meece and wife, Michele of Bahama; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Research, 415 Crossways Park Drive, Suite D, Woodbury, NY 11797, in memory of her brother, Tim Meece.
Family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times will be at the home.
