It is with deep sincere sorrow and sadness that we have to announce the passing of our beloved sister Gloria Atkinson. Gloria will be taken back to her home of Brooklyn, NY to be laid to rest alongside her mother, Gladys Atkinson.

Ms. Gloria Atkinson was the daughter of the late Gladys Atkinson. She was born on March 2, 1951. She transitioned at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC on March 28, 2021.
Gloria lived in Brooklyn, NY until she was 13 years old and subsequently relocated to Goldsboro, NC to live with her aunt. She will be missed by many. Gloria’s final resting place will be next to her beloved mother Gladys Atkinson in Cypress Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
Gloria is preceded in death by her mother, her grandparents, Jasper and Sadie Atkinson, and her siblings, Sadie Rose Boyd and Jero Boyd, Jr. Gloria leaves to cherish her memories: her siblings, James Boyd, Constance Ann Boyd, Frances Boyd, Bernadette Boyd, Kaye Rush, Laura Boyd, and Harrietta Phillips, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
