Selma – Hilda Gray Edwards, age 74, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020. She was born a daughter of the late James and Maggie Pearce on August 4, 1946, in Johnston County. She is preceded in death by her husband of Mr. Jimmy “Dan” Edwards, brothers; Ray Pearce, John Pearce and Bill Pearce. Mrs. Hilda worked as a CNA at Wil- Med in Wilson and at Cato Corporation. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved her children, grandchildren as well as her friends, and her pets.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, in the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma at 7:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 6:00 p.m.
She is survived by her sons; Vaden Lee and wife Karen of Pinkney, Richard Lee and wife Missy of Pinkney, Jeff Edwards of Stancils Chapel, daughter, Mitzi Edwards Staman and husband Corey of Clayton, Jason Edwards and wife Christi of Buckhorn, sister, Brenda Pearce of Selma, grandchildren; Bryant Lee, Ivey Lee, Tyler Lee, Abby Lee, Tucker Lee, Jacob Bargoil, Hannah Bargoil, Tanner Edwards, Ryland Edwards, Greenlee Edwards, Chase Staman and Mady Staman.
