Coats, NC: Mrs. Hilda Dorman Hurd, age, 88 died Saturday, February 2, 2019 at her residence. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, February 4, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Ben Pearce. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hurd was born January 12, 1930 in Rudesheim an Rhine, Germany to the late Henrich and Theresa Diess Dorman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Hurd; daughter, Judy Earnhardt; sons, Ronnie and David Hurd. Mrs. Hurd was a homemaker.
Survivors, include her children, Hank Hurd and wife, Martha of Fuquay-Varina, Linda H. Campbell and husband, Steve of Fairfax Station, VA; grandchildren, Erin Stanaland and husband, Marcus, Lindsey Reeves and husband, Justin and Kristen Campbell; great-grandchildren, Kealeb Adcock, Eve Stanaland and Bodhi Reeves; sister, Elfidede Ottes and husband, Carl of Rudeshien on Rhine, Germany; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home of Hank and Martha Hurd, 8016 Muirfield Drive, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Fisher House Foundation, Inc., 12300 Twinbrook Pkwy, Suite 410, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
