McGee’s Crossroads: Mr. Homer Douglas Barbour, age 83, of 2449 Stephenson Rd died Saturday, October 26, 2019 at his residence. Funeral Service will be 2:00PM Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Billy Nowell and Scott Johnson. Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery, Angier.
Mr. Barbour was born on June 1, 1936 in Johnston County to his late mother, Nellie Roberts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby “Nana” Mims Barbour; daughter, Jennifer B. Holland; son-in-law, Chris Jackson; grandsons, Andrew, Daniel and Logan Barbour; brothers, Kenly Roberts and Jerry Roberts. Mr. Barbour was a retired truck driver and served in the National Guard Reserves.
Surviving are his children and spouses, Wayne Barbour of Angier, Donald Barbour of Benson, Wanda B. Raulerson of Cary, Amy B. Clifton and husband, Derek of Benson; Andy Barbour and wife, Leigh of Meadow, Christy B. Jackson of Benson; son-in-law, Kenneth Holland of Selma; grandchildren, Scott Holland, Michael Holland, Garrett Barbour, Delanie Barbour, Lauren Jackson, Marlee Barbour, Ansleigh Barbour; brothers and sisters, Jesse Winberry of Jacksonville, NC, Mike Roberts of Wilson Mills, Jeanette Jacoway of Garner; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Monday, October 28, 2019 and other times at the home.
