James Todd Givens, Jr., 28, son of J. Todd and Kay Lawrence Givens passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019. Todd married Kylie Bond on April 27, 2019. He will forever be remembered for his love of life, his infectious smile which he always had and his beloved Carolina Tar Heels. Todd never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest each and every day and loved to be outdoors, spending time with friends and his dog Sebastian, taking trips to the beach, fishing and being a team member for TrendMark, Inc.
In addition to his parents and wife Kylie, Todd is also survived by his sister, Brooke Holloman and her husband Clifton of Selma; paternal grandmother, Sandra Givens; maternal grandparents, Billy and Juanita Lawrence of Garner; mother and father-in-law, Daniel and Kimberly Bond of Erie, IL; maternal grandparents-in-law, Clyde and Beth Kramer of Erie, IL; paternal grandparents-in-law, James and Martha Bond of Lincoln, AK; uncle, Joel Givens of Clayton, aunt, Karen Midkiff of Fuquay Varina; aunt Denise Givens of Kenly, brothers-in-law, Joshua Bond and his wife Ashton of Wentzville, MO, Alex Bond and his wife Jessica of Albion, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Todd was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Wayne Givens; uncles, J. Scott Givens and Robert “Bob’ Midkiff.
A celebration of Todd’s life will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 2:00pm at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Clayton with the interment following at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27th at McLaurin Funeral Home from 4 until 6:00pm.
