Janet Coats Watkins, age 70, of Morehead City, passed away at her home on November 9, 2018. Born in Johnston County on January 12, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Judson Edward and Marie Austin Coats. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Edward Coats. Mrs. Watkins was a retired Processing Clerk for the State Bureau of Investigations. She was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, at 1:00 pm in the Oakland Presbyterian Church on Cleveland Road near Clayton.
Surviving are her daughter, Tina Sattler and husband Edward of Clayton; and her granddaughter, Marina Parker of Raleigh.
