Pine Level – Janice Faye Batten Hohl, age 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 7, 2020, in Barbour Court Nursing and Rehab in Smithfield. She was born on February 9, 1931, a daughter of the late Theodore Batten and Eva Batten in Johnston County. She is preceded in death by her late husband Robert Hohl; sons, Rudy L. Pittman, Tony R. Pittman, Eddy R. Pittman, James S. Pittman; brothers, Curtis A. Batten, J.T. Batten, Vernon Batten, and sister Marguerite Starling. Faye was a member of Princeton Church of God. Faye was a very accomplished cosmetologist for all her life and taught Cosmetology at Carteret Community College for many years.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in Price Cemetery in Pine Level.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Shannon Kirby (husband Maxie), and Dena Pittman, great grandchildren, Bailey Lail, Kaitlyn Cobb, and Taylor Pittman, daughter-in-law, Peggy Pittman, and several nieces and nephews.
