    Jerry Arlon Turner, 70 was called home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 to the loving arms of Jesus, surrounded by his family.

    Jerry was born in Johnston County on February 10, 1948 to the late Clyde and Ila Pearce Turner. He was a man of many talents but spent most of his years as a carpenter and he could frame a home like no other. Jerry loved building and creating things with his hands. Many of his friends and family will tell you that if you would give him a vision of something that he could build it. Jerry was also a great mechanic and he could make any engine roar. He loved working on cars, lawnmowers or anything that he could rebuild to get it running again.
    Other than his many work talents, Jerry’s love was his family. He was a loving husband, father and granddaddy and nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by and spending time with them.

    In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by two sons, Edward (Eddie) Turner and Anthony (Tony) Turner; two sisters, Judy Turner Hill and Dale Turner and a nephew, Kyle Hamm.

    Jerry, “Pa” as he was affectionally called by his family, is survived by the love of his life for 41 years, Joyce Gooding Turner; three daughters, Wanda Turner Herring and husband, Tim Herring of Goldsboro, Ashley Turner and fiancée, Eric Assad of Goldsboro and Tonya Grady of Goldsboro; two sons, Jerry Turner, Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Tennessee and Chris Turner and wife, Stacey of New Bern and 10 grandchildren, Austin Crawford, Sterling Scott, Haley Perrett, Taylor Pearce, Brittany Peterson, Kayla Simpson, Marissa Turner, Stormy Turner, Christina Turner, and Mikey Turner; 4 great grandchildren and other extended family, Viviana Redondo and Stacey Redondo.

    A service to celebrate Jerry’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with the Reverend Tony McLamb officiating. The burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.

    The family will greet friends and family from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, January 25, 2019 and after the ceremony. At other times the family will meet at the home on 205 E. Evans Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
