Jerry Thomas Woodard, 68, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Smithfield Manor in Smithfield. He was born April 10, 1949 to Lela Norris Woodard and the late James Rudolph Woodard. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an infant sister, and a brother, James Woodard. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home in Princeton with the Reverend Allen Strickland officiating. The burial will take place in Princeton Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Lela Norris Woodard; son, Gerald Woodard of Fayetteville; daughters, Christa W. Phillips of Princeton and Lori W. Edwards (Bennie) of Smithfield; brother, Kenny Woodard (Nancy) of Pine Level; sister, Kathy W. Worley (Jeff) of Princeton and five grandchildren, Nicholas Phillips, Aaron Phillips, Bradley Barnes, Jessica Allen and Matthew Edwards.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Casey Funeral Home Chapel.
