Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Jo Anne Faircloth Hair, age 71, of 2340 Lee’s Union Church Road, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Erwin Church of God, 109 W. C Street, Erwin, NC 28339. Pastor Timothy Cowan, Sr. and Rev. Currie Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Erwin Memorial Park in Erwin.
Mrs. Hair was born on December 11, 1947 to the late Sam and Zola Faircloth. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lubert Faircloth, Major Faircloth, Hosea Faircloth and Junior Faircloth and her sisters, Clara Mae Sessoms, Peggy Raynor, and Revonda Norris and a special grandson-in-law, Justin Strickland. Mrs. Hair retired from the purchasing department in the electronics industry. She was a member of Erwin Church of God, Southland Car Club and the Eastern North Carolina Studebaker Drivers Club.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Carl Henry Hair; sons, David Wayne Sills (Jennifer) and children, Brittney and Cross; and Steven Jerome Sills all of Dunn; step-son and wife, Carl James (Jay) and Peggy Hair of Benson; step-daughter, Wendy Marie Jones and husband, Robert of Four Oaks; special daughters-in-law, Paula Faircloth of Dunn and Mary Bradshaw of Lillington; grandchildren, Felicia Sills Shaw and husband, Nick of Headland, Alabama; Amber Sills Wright and husband, Robert of Erwin; Brittney Sills Strickland of Willow Spring; Mia Sills, Samuel Jalin Sills both of Lillington; and Gerrie Sue Mariscal of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Taylor Shaw, Brooke Shaw, A.J. Shaw and Ava Shaw of Headland, Alabama; Makayla Beard, Amiyah Boykins and Kayden Wright of Erwin; Rayleigh Strickland, Lily Strickland and Lucy Strickland of Willow Spring; brothers, Jesse Wilton and Maude Faircloth of Benson; Danny and Joyce Faircloth of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sisters, Lois Tyndall of Erwin; Ruth Edmondson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Wilma Reynolds of Ocean City, Maryland; Maxine Dennis of Dunn; and Carolyn and Jimmy Reaves of Erwin; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home.
