John Patrick Hultmark, (Paddy) 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday,
December 8, 2020 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Mr. Hultmark was born in New York, New York on January 24, 1943 to the late John and Rosalie Hultmark (Lynch). In addition to his parents, Mr. Hultmark is also preceded in death by his son, Christopher Joseph Hultmark; his father and mother in-law, Daniel and Josephine Beatty (Corcione); his sister and brother in-laws, Dorothy Cataldo (Beatty), Donald, Anthony, James, Robert Beatty and his faithful four-legged companion, Chelsea.
Mr. Hultmark is survived by wife of 56 years, JoAnne Hultmark (Beatty) of Zebulon; Daughters, Francine Knott and husband James of Wendell; Jennifer Woody and husband Dean of Louisburg; son, John Eric Hultmark and wife, Debra of Raleigh; Grandchildren, William “Billy” and Jessica Knott of Wendell, Stephen Calaminici of Brick, NJ, Lauren Calaminici of Louisburg, and William “Willie” and Patrick Hultmark of Raleigh; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hultmark lived a full life and was loved by everyone that knew him. Mr. Hultmark was a truck driver for over 40 years. While semi-retired, Mr. Hultmark drove a limousine where he had the pleasure of driving everybody from local residents to business executives and celebrities. It was during this time, that Mr. Hultmark had the pleasure of modeling as the clown on the Dysfunction CD cover for the band Staind.
Mr. Hultmark was a loving husband, father and grandfather and devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Mr. Hultmark loved his wife dearly and enjoyed her cooking. Mr. Hultmark was his children and grandchildren’s biggest fans, always cheering them on from the sidelines and encouraging them to do their best; be it football, softball, basketball, Irish Dance and in life. Mr. Hultmark obtained his Ph.D in Metaphysical Sciences and enjoyed meditating and counseling those in need. Mr. Hultmark was an avid reader and loved going to the library. Mr. Hultmark loved all types of music and enjoyed going to concerts and watching his granddaughter’s Irish Dance performances. Mr. Hultmark was known by those he worked with as “Johnny Rambo” during his younger years where the stories behind his nick name often kept his children, grandchildren and those who knew and loved him captivated for hours. Mr. Hultmark will be greatly missed.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 5PM until 7 PM at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC. Wearing a face covering and social distancing as much as possible is suggested.
