Kenly-Judith Gayle Ferrell Ballance, 69, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Johnston UNC Health Care. Born in Wilson County on March 20, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Ferrell and Alma Lane Ferrell.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kenly Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Gayle is survived by her son, Charles Ulmont McGee, III and wife, April; granddaughter, Olivia McGee; sisters, Melba Jean Pittman and Christine Dunn; brother, Jesse Earl Ferrell; daughter, Christa Brucette Mathewson and husband, Erik; grandchildren, Ginger McGee, Tyler Barker, Amanda Mathewson; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Isaac, and Luca Lisanti.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Ballance; sisters, Edith Mae Davis, Mary Hayes Medlin Barnes, and Pennie Rose Dellinger; and a half-brother, Carl Lane.
