    Rural Hall – Julia Hardee Davis, age 77, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, in her home in Rural Hall. She was born a daughter of the late Leonard and Thelma Hardee on March 4, 1944, in Johnston County. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rudolph Davis. Julia was a God-fearing Christian woman who lived a beautiful life. She was a dedicated wife, who loved her husband for many years until his passing. She was an amazing mother who shined with pride because of her three children. Julia loved her four grandchildren with her whole heart. Her spit fire personality came with so many laughs and her friendship to others was un wavering. She loved Jesus, her church family, socializing with her friends and always enjoyed shopping with her loved ones. She could roll a joke off the tip of her tongue and always drew a smile. Her laugh was contagious and her presence would light up the room. Julia knew no stranger and touched many lives along her physical journey.

    Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, March 25, 2021, in Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Smithfield at 2:00 p.m., with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

    She is survived by her sons, Timothy Davis (wife Amanda) of Clayton, Chuck Brantham, daughter, Ronnie Kirkham (significant other James Glaspy) of Rural Hall, grandchildren, C.J. Eason (wife Tracy) of Princeton, Whitney Jackson of Farmville, Hunter Davis of Clayton, Joshua Brantham of Garner, great grandchildren, Connor and Mallory Eason of Princeton.
