Julius Melvin Beasley, 93, of Benson went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was born February 19, 1926 to the late Jasper Talmage Beasley and Susan Elaine Johnson Beasley. He was also preceded in death by his first and second wife: Sally Guin Beasley and Joyce Ann Robbins Beasley; sons, Dorian Charles Beasley, Linwood Melvin Beasley, and Julius Melvin Beasley, Jr.; daughters, Joyce Ruth Beasley Armstrong, Diane Beasley (Infant) and Susan Elaine Beasley Blackman; brothers, Junious Talmage “J. T.” Beasley, Jarvis Gerald Beasley, and Joseph Earl Beasley; sisters, Verna Woodall , Sally Beasley Barbour and Callie Strickland.
The funeral service will be held at The Light of Christ Regional Outreach Church, 2735 Buffalo Road, Smithfield, NC on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 6:00 pm with the Reverend Gene Bruton officiating. The burial will take place at the Beasley Family Cemetery in Bentonville, NC on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 10:00 am.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at The Light of Christ Regional Outreach Church.
Mr. Beasley is survived by son: Johnny Beasley and wife, Karen of Benson; brothers, James Henry Beasley of Virginia, Jessie Frank Beasley of Smithfield, and Robert Beasley of Michigan; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
