SMITHFIELD – Kenneth Ray Lane, age 63, died Thursday, October 3, 2019 in the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born June 26, 1956 in Wayne County to Ken Lane of Smithfield and the late Betty Lou Moore Lane, he was preceded in death by his wife Laura Beth McCabe Lane on October 1, 2016.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are his son, Edward Allen “Eddie” Lane of Smithfield; daughter, Christine Michelle Lane of Smithfield; brother, Gene Lane of White Lake; sister, Karen Slocomb of Four Oaks and three grandsons, Jordan Ray Lane, Phillip Allen Lane and Cameron Paul Woodall.
