Smithfield – Leatrice Horne Boyette, age 87, passed away April 5, 2018 at Liberty Commons in Benson. Born January 9, 1931 in Johnston County she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Nicey Hinton Horne. She is preceded in death by her husband Rufus Boyette, and her four brothers. Mrs. Boyette was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday April 8, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Mr. Clifton Woodruff officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
She is survived by her sons, Joey Boyette and wife Lisa of Clayton, and Jerry Boyette and wife Shirley of Garner; daughters, Wanda Nelson and husband Joe of Dunn, and Sandra Boyette of Smithfield; sisters, Beatrice Montgomery of Greenville, SC and Sylvia Woodruff and husband Clifton of Selma; grandchildren, Chris Boyette, Michelle Honeycutt and husband Jay, and Brad Boyette and wife Joni; six great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
