PRINCETON – Leon A. Radford, age 91, died Sunday morning, August 20, 2017 in the Smithfield Manor. Born September 22, 1925 in Johnston County to the late William and Cherry Aycock Radford, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Faye Radford Stephenson and a great grandson, Robert “Bo” Braswell. Leon began his career as a farmer in Johnston County and later went to work with Stackhouse, Inc. in Goldsboro and eventually retired as a line foreman with Tri-County Electric. He attended the Princeton Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Dwayne Batten officiating. Entombment will follow in the Princeton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
Surviving are his wife Loreece Joyner Radford; children, Gail R. Braswell and husband Linwood, Michelle R. Braswell and husband Bobby, Kim R. Hinton and husband Malcolm and Mike Radford and wife Amy all of Princeton; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
