Leonard Guy Jordan, 70, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at his home.
Guy was born in Wayne County on February 7, 1948 to the late Talmadge Whitfield and Hazel Tedder Jordan. He was married to the late Susan Kay Jordan. Guy proudly served his country in the United States Army earning a Purple Heart during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Pinkney Baptist Church. Guy was a farmer much of his life and enjoyed time out tending his cows. Family was very important to Leonard, and he will be deeply missed by those that remain behind.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Christian Powell officiating. Burial will follow in White Oak Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Guy is survived by his daughters, Karen Crane and husband Jeremy of Goldsboro and Nicole Cobb and husband Jared of Shelbyville, KY; grandchildren, Summer Crane, Hunter Crane and Fiancé Lexi, Guy Crane and Jay Cobb; his siblings, Sandra Barrett of Clayton, Bonnie Farmer of Columbia S.C., Mack Jordan of Ahoskie, Ernest Jordan of Fremont, and Gail Williams of Wilson.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Jordan.
