Leslie Herbert “Bud” Parrish, age 75, of Goldsboro, passed away at his home on February 6, 2017. Born in Greene County on February 3, 1942, he was the son of the late Willie Norman and Donie Lee Batten Parrish. Leslie was an ordained minister in the Southern Baptist Denomination for 46 years last serving at My Father’s House in Goldsboro. He was also a barber for 52 years, mostly in Selma and Micro. For the last 12 years, he had operated Christian Care Tree Service.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 9, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with burial following in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery near Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 7 to 9 PM.
Surviving are his wife, Sadie Williams Parrish; sons, Leslie H. Parrish, Jr. and wife Tiffany of Clayton, Brent Christopher Parrish of Raleigh; daughters Lisa Michelle McAllister and husband Scott of Wendell, Kelli
Nicole Williamson and husband Josh of Goldsboro; sisters Lois Jones and Alice Faye Parker, both of Selma; and grandchildren John Ross Parrish, Will Parrish, Austin McAllister and Ava McAllister.
