Linda F. Brock of Smithfield, NC passed into Heaven on Mothers Day Sunday
May 13, 2018. She was a loving wife, mom, daughter, sister and “Mama”. She
will be forever remembered by her devoted husband and best friend Ray of 50
years, their children, Bryan and Elizabeth, and by her twin sister Brenda, and
precious grandchildren (her three heartbeats) Kacie, Raegan, and Avereigh
Elizabeth. She will also be remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended
family and dear friends.
Linda showed compassion and love for children through her many years in the
education career. She also volunteered with The Hester Family Care Home of
Princeton, NC. Linda loved Gospel Music and was a faithful follower and
supporter of East Coast Gospel Music Association of whom her husband, Ray is
vice president.
The Brock family would like to thank Dr. Koffer and the staff of SECU Hospice
House of Smithfield for their compassionate care of Linda and support to our
family. Linda’s final wish was to be an anatomical donor. A special recognition to
Dianne Person, Director of Elon University’s Anatomical Gift Program who made
it possible for Linda’s body to be donated for their School of Health Science.
Family and friends may visit at the home of Elizabeth Brock, 218 Old Mallard
Road, Smithfield, NC. There will also be visitation at Praise Sanctuary in
Princeton, NC after the service Friday, May 18, 2018. Flowers are acceptable or
memorial contributions may be made in memory of Linda Brock, Elon University
Anatomical Gift Program Campus, PO Box 2600, Elon, NC 27244.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Praise Sanctuary in Princeton, NC,
Friday May 18, 2018 at 7:00pm. The gospel groups Canaanland, Servants
Heart, and The Powell Family will perform music and songs chosen by Linda.
Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Pollock, Pastor Craig Langdon, and special
friend Sandra Stallings. Family and friends are invited to attend this special
service as we remember and honor the life of Linda.
