Smithfield, NC: Mrs. Linda Faye Marler Norton, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Smithfield Manor Nursing Home in Smithfield. Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM-Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Hayes. Burial will follow in Hood’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Newton Grove.
Mrs. Norton was born on December 24, 1944 in Harnett County to the late Luther and Marvel Jackson Marler. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Marler. Mrs. Norton was a retired beautician and from 911 dispatcher for Johnston Ambulance Service.
Surviving are her sons, James E. “Jay” Norton, III of Four Oaks, Christian Marler “Chris” Norton of Selma, grandson, Christian Chance Norton of Vesta, California; brother, Harold Marler and wife, Faye of Dunn; niece, Patsy Allen and husband, L.E. of Four Oaks; nephews, Andy Marler and wife, Alma of Benson, Marty Marler and wife, Ceicla of Dunn; great-niece, Martina Marler; great-nephew, Alex Marler.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Face coverings are not required, but are kindly recommended for all services.
