Lois Sanderford Jones, 81, of Rocky Mount passed away at Hunter Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. She is the daughter of the late James Jackson and Nettie Page Sledge Sanderford. She was born on May 2, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Jones, Jr.; a grandson, Michael Ray Radford; and a great grandson, Ayden Brooks Jones. The funeral service will be on Friday, January 6, 2017 in Casey Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 Noon with the Reverend Marty Cauley officiating. The burial will take place in Princeton Cemetery immediately following the service.
She is survived by sons: Herbert Calvin Jones of Rocky Mount, William (Billy) Jones of Pinetops, David Jones of Tarboro, and Jimmy Jones of Tarboro; daughter, Mildred Jones Bales of Rocky Mount; brothers, Bobby Sanderford of Youngsville, Ted Sanderford of Four Oaks and Ned Sanderford of Wilmington; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Casey Funeral Home Chapel.
