Cemetery in Coats, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Alan Gupton.
Mr. Sloan was born in Harnett County on April 9, 1931 to the late Lonnie Talmadge, Sr. and Lila Barefoot Sloan. He was a retired truck driver in the auto salvage industry.
Surviving include his daughter, Diane S. Stephenson of Benson; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Betsy Sloan of Dunn; grandchildren, Richard Stephenson and wife, Lori, Justin Sloan and Ryan Sloan and wife, Kala; great-grandson, Rhett Carter Sloan; the mother of Diane Stephenson and Randy Sloan, Coraleene Y. Sloan of Benson; significant other, Marie Cunningham of Dunn; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM, Friday, November 22, 2019 prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home of Coraleene Y. Sloan, 2668 NC 242 South, Benson, NC 27504.
