Selma – Lucy Belle Sellars, age 91, passed away Saturday January 18, 2020 at her home in Selma. Born February 12, 1928 to the late Bonnie Lee and Helen Adcock Pruitt. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by husband, Calvin Sellars; Brother, B.L Pruitt Jr.; A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home Tuesday January 21, 2020 at 2 PM with Rev. Hollis Frederick officiating. Burial will follow the service at Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Sellars is survived by brother, Donald Pruitt of Selma; Sisters, Jewel Johnson of Dunn, Wynona Williams and husband JR of Coats, Wilma King of Selma; Nieces and nephews, Kathy Joyner, Denise Williams, Angel Velasquez, Eleanor Jarvis, Teresa Sills, Bo Pruitt, Amanda Sullivan. Mrs. Sellars was a member at Selma Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where she enjoyed playing piano and listening to gospel music. She was a teacher for over 30 years which most of that time was spent at Meadow School and Anderson Creek School.
