Luther Orville Clemons, 77, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Brian Center of Goldsboro. He was born February 22, 1942 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Carl Clemons and Vina Marshall Clemons.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Thigpen Jenkins Clemons; daughter, Cynthia Bauer; granddaughter, Elowyn Howell; brothers, Art, Bill and Marvin; sisters, Polly and Pauline.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with Pastor Howard Seymour officiating. A private burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Services Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations on Tuesday, January 7, 2019.
He is survived by a son, Randy Firemoon of North Dakota; daughter, Angela Howell of Smithfield; stepson, Nelson Jenkins of Greenville; step daughters, Lyvonne Davis, Wanda Powell, and Renee Coty all of Goldsboro; brother, Earl Clemons of Ary, Kentucky; among the 24 grandchildren is a special granddaughter that he raised, Cherish Lilly and several great grandchildren.
