Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Magalene Stephenson Smith, age 88, of Raleigh Road died Friday, March 5, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Graveside Services will be held 3:00PM Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Nimrod- Stephenson Family Cemetery on Sanders Road in Willow Spring. Officiating will be Revs. Virgil Murphy and Woodrow Miller.
Mrs. Smith was born on June 13, 1932 in Johnston County to the late Irving Henry and Minnie Etta Barefoot Stephenson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavern Bleese Smith; and a son, Michael W. Smith. She was a homemaker and member of Johnson Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving include her children, Jerry B. Smith and wife, Tammy of Benson, Sharon Gay Smith of Four Oaks; grandson, James Zachary Smith and wife, Amber of Dunn; great-grandchildren, James Michael Smith and Lola Marie Smith; sister, Marie Byrd of Benson; several nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 1:00PM to 2:15PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
In accordance with the current NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash and wear a face covering. A mask is required for all services.
