Margaret Godwin Millard, 90, formerly of Princeton passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Goldsboro Assisted Living. She was born September 29, 1928 in Duplin County, North Carolina to the late Foy Leon Godwin and Cora Hollingsworth Godwin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Millard; daughter, Judy VonMiller, brothers, Marion Godwin and wife, Ruth Godwin, John Godwin and wife, Geneva Godwin, and William Estel Godwin; brother-in-law, Robert W. “Stoney” Stonestreet; and nephew, Robert Godwin.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with the Reverend Thomas McLendon and Reverend Dock Hobbs officiating. A private burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
She is survived by sister, Virginia Stonestreet of Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Erica Francis VonMiller Cowdrey and husband, Matthew; 2 great grandchildren, Summer Lee Cowdrey and Tyler Alexander Howell; and several nieces and nephews.
