Mary Jane Williams Burnside, 83, formerly of Johnston County passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. She was born March 28, 1935 in Marion County, West Virginia to the late Harry Glen Williams and Leota Gay Riddle Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Hobart William Burnside, Jr., son-in-law, Archie H. McLeod, Jr.; grandson, Brandon and great grandson, Ethan. The funeral will be held at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Princeton on Thursday, March 21, 2019 with the Reverend Wendy Bishop officiating. The burial will take place in the Fellowship United Methodist Church cemetery immediately following the service.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Fellowship United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, John Edward Burnside and wife, Patsy of Clinton, Shirley McLeod of Wilmington, Sue Thornton and husband, Dwight of Raleigh, and Cindy Justice and husband, Steve of Clinton, 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
