Tempie Hines Pilkington, 72, of Selma passed away at Duke Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 10, 2021. She was born in Johnston County on April 14, 1948 to the late Robert Daniel Hines and Minnie Sasser Hines. She was also preceded in death by a son, Linwood Ray Pilkington; daughter, Anita Kaye Peedin; brothers, Frank Hines, Bryant Hines and Don Lee Hines; sisters, Betty Lou McQuire, Patsy Hines and Josephine Hines.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
The funeral will be in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations at 12:00 noon with the Reverend Gene Dewitt officiating. The burial will follow in Price Cemetery in Pine Level, NC.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Pilkington of Selma; daughter, Lisa Pilkington of Kenly; brothers, Billy Hines of Selma and Ronnie Hines of Selma; sisters, Gertrude Raynor of Goldsboro, Faye Brown of Selma and Kaye Pearce of Selma; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
